Riddhi supports HR&A’s real estate and transit-oriented development practices, with a special focus on equitable urban growth and housing affordability.
Riddhi finds that the most challenging urban questions are at the intersection of real estate markets and urban policy-making. Currently, she is advising the Los Angeles Department of City Planning on strategies to leverage additional densities for community benefits. Riddhi believes such tools are critical in reinventing places for people.
Before joining HR&A, Riddhi practiced as an architect and urban designer in India. She worked on a range of interesting projects, from large-scale housing and civic center designs to interiors and historic preservation of heritage properties in Calcutta. As an urban designer, she studied the feasibility of building transit-oriented development for a light rail expansion connecting Delhi to other cities in the region.
Riddhi received her Master of Urban and Regional Planning from the UCLA Luskin School of Public Affairs, where she specialized in design and development. Riddhi also holds a Master of Architecture from the School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi, and her undergraduate degree from Jadavpur University in Calcutta. In her spare time, Riddhi re-creates the French impressionist paintings of Claude Monet.
