Pandemic impact analysis
Measure the scope of economic and community disruption and identify the populations and sectors that have been – and are likely to be – most affected
COVID-19 is unlike prior disasters in depth, duration, and the degree of harm to marginalized communities. We’re rethinking traditional economic impact analysis to understand the scale of this crisis, estimate impacts on specific communities based on employment and spending projections, and help cities and communities identify – and advocacy for – areas of greatest need and investment. Our projections of employment, spending, and community impacts also enable cities to understand changes to tax revenue, program expenses, and their overall budget outlook.
