HR&A is working with the management of Utica Municipal Housing Authority (UMHA), the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and technical subcontractors to implement an energy performance contracting project that will replace and upgrade aging building systems, reduce UMHA’s overall operating costs, and provide improved comfort and safety for residents in 55 buildings and 914 housing units. By leveraging energy savings and taking advantage of HUD subsidies, HR&A will make it possible to complete the full scope of needed capital improvements at little or no net cost to UMHA.
