For Solar One, a green arts and education center at Stuyvesant Cove Park on the East River of Manhattan affiliated with the Community Environmental Center (CEC), HR&A developed a vision statement and business plan for the development of a new state-of-the-art urban environmental learning center. HR&A worked with the organization to refine a vision for the new building, developed cash flow projections for operations and consulted on their fundraising strategy. This built off earlier work done with Stuyvesant Cove Park and the CEC, where HR&A developed a business plan for Solar One that enabled it to succeed in obtaining a contract from the New York Economic Development Corporation to operate the park.
