The Brooklyn Museum of Art underwent dramatic programming and operational changes in 1995-96, doubling its annual visitation in a single year to over half a million. HR&A analyzed the direct and indirect impacts to New York City's economy of the Museum's efforts to attract a wider and more diverse clientele. This task included measuring the impact of a proposed $50 million new entranceway for the Museum, part of a plan to boost annual attendance to one million over the next five years. The analysis included estimates of construction impacts, as well as of permanent increases in employment and output.
