Economic Impact Strategy for Arts and Culture in New York City
HR&A was recently selected by the New York City Economic Development Corporation (NYCEDC) to lead a study on the economic impact of the not-for-profit arts and culture sector in New York City. In conjunction with the Alliance for the Arts and Lord Cultural Resources, HR&A will assess the size and growth rates of the sector and analyze its ongoing economic impact. HR&A will then identify segments with high-growth potential and barriers to growth of the sector through extensive stakeholder interviews and focus groups. Based on the findings from the quantitative and qualitative analyses, HR&A will design and recommend a series of strategic policy initiatives to promote the continued growth and success of the not-for-profit arts in New York City.
