On behalf of Mecklenburg County and the City of Charlotte, HR&A and Civitas, Inc. led a master planning effort for the revitalization of the Third Ward in downtown Charlotte. The planning effort included eight public meetings and an extensive stakeholder outreach process involving Charlotte's corporate community. A key component of the planning process was the creation of Charlotte's primary public park and gathering space. HR&A conducted a market analysis that will inform the location and configuration of the park. In addition, we prepared a land negotiation strategy to accommodate the proposed public space.
