HR&A serves as real estate advisor for the New York Blood Center, the nation's largest independent blood bank, on an on-going basis. HR&A is currently assisting the Blood Center in the development of long-term real estate plans for the organization's corporate and administrative headquarters facilities and is providing assistance on several real estate transactions. HR&A's past work for the Blood Center has included preparation of an analysis of the real estate implications of a recently-adopted Strategic Plan. As part of this effort, HR&A developed preliminary needs assessments for the Blood Center's core businesses blood collections, processing and distribution, and blood-related research. HR&A also recommended a corporate real estate and logistics strategy, and as a result of this HR&A has assisted the Blood Center with site selection and capital investment planning for a major new blood processing and distribution facility under development in Long Island City.
